Curling Clinics

If you are a beginner, if you have curled for a few years or if you would just like to get some technical improvement lessons, Navy CC is the place for you to get instructions.

We are fortunate to have a good group of club members who are experienced Curl Canada instructors. They are willing to provide a few hours of their personal time to help you learn or improve your game. These instructors have either qualified at level 1 or level 2 of the CCA program.

Here how it works:

  • The club offers a clinic each September and another one sometime in January - to know when the clinic is scheduled, go to section on our website - Ice Schedule.
  • The clinic is open to members, their friends or guests, and rental league members.
  • This is a sign up event and the sheets are generally posted on the kitchen door bulletin board.
  • If the sign up sheets are not there, you can always call our Day Manager or the board member (see the section on board of Directors) who is responsible for ice allocation.
  • If you sign up and then are unable to make that day, please call the club to cancel. The club attempts to have only 6 persons per instructor.

If you want to have a private lesson, most of our instructors are willing to come out and provide you with about 1/2 hr to 1 hr of instructions. For a list of club curling instructors, call the ice allocation board member who can give you the names of the club instructors.
