Rules

This is a Thursday draw event played in a skins format under the following rules:

  1. The CCA rules of the game, including the Free-Guard Zone, apply as further modified below.
  2. The game will begin with the toss of the coin to determine last rock.
  3. All games are 6 ends.
  4. Money is won by (a) taking two points when holding last rock; or (b) by stealing the end. Money not won in an end is carried over to the next end.
  5. Blanking an end results in a team losing last rock in the next end.
  6. If the money at stake in the 6th end is not won, each team plays one rock (can be thrown by any team member) to the house, with sweeping allowed by the playing side only. The team whose stone is closest to the button wins the end and the skin(s).
  7. The total prize money won determines the game winner. In the event of a tie in money won at the end of a game, the amounts are shown on the game score sheet and entered on the master score sheet posted in the ladies locker room. There can be a tie for individual games.
  8. To ensure that all games are played within the allocated time, only one end may begin in the last thirty minutes of play. The thirds will notify both skips of the time left to complete the game.
  9. In the event that the last end cannot be played due to time restrictions, a draw to the button (by any team member), with sweeping, will determine the winner of the remaining money.
  10. Money will be accumulated over the course of the round robin. The team with the most money will be declared the Match Cup Champion. A tie for first place will be broken by the record against each other.
