Day Ladies' Division
Day Ladies Fixed Curling will start with a clinic in October. The Day Ladies Division organize a competitive event for "Fixed" team entries and an equally competitive event for "Match" draw curling.
The Fixed Event is played each Friday. These games are held at 1:30 pm from October through December to accommodate the ladies participating in the Metro League on Friday morning. From January to April the Day Ladies Fixed Event is at 9:30 am. The competition is excellent.
In addition to the Fixed format we run a number of different draw events over the course of the season. Teams are selected in a draft held by the Skips. We have no ratings, curlers may sign up for the position they would like to play. Ladies Draw Curling is played on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am. The first draw will commence on Tuesday October 10th. Day Ladies run an Opening Jitney, Turkey Spiel and Closing Spiel for club members. Navy Day Ladies also hold three invitational bonspiels - the Grandmothers Spiel which takes place December 1st and the Navy Invitational Bonspiel, a popular one day bonspiel which is offered in early April, 2008. The popularity of this event necessitates two, one-day spiels in order to accommodate all those wish to enter.
